Talya Baldwin

Talya Baldwin is a British illustrator and graduate from London’s Central Saint Martins.

Talya’s drawings are always rendered by hand using biros, coloured pencils, pastels, wax crayons and felt tip pens. Her work often documents the unloved, forgotten, unpopular or overlooked, such as weeds, pigeons, rats and human outsiders.

Over a period of twelve months Baldwin illustrated the 32 species of ‘weeds’ grown within the Phytology medicinal field.

These botanical illustrations are currently featured on the ‘plant’ section of this website. A collection of her drawings was exhibited on the Phytology billboard throughout the spring and summer of 2014 and 2015.
